Yay for free days! Roberto took us to Casa de Cultura (House of Culture) which is a an old prison that has been turned into a shopping center. Each jail cell has a shop in it now. We shopped til we dropped! We always feel really important when we are with Roberto because he acts like our body guard. He is sneaky like a ninja, but never lets us out of his sight. He doesn't speak English, but I can tell he is really nice.

Today we saw a completely new side of Recife. The buildings were very colorful and the architecture was really interesting and older looking. This an example of one of the streets.

William trying on his own hat
After we brought all of our exciting new purchases back to the house, we decided to walk down to the beach in Boa Viagem. It was the perfect time of day because the sun was just starting to set, so the temperature was great! We bought some big bowls of Açai and ate them on the beach.
